EXHIBITION SOUVENIR

Souvenir for the Seduced: Art and Sex from Antiquity to Now exhibition
at the Barbican. The idea is to sell bulbs and seeds from the flowers,
the ones that were photographed by Robert Mapplethorpe. His work was
part of the exhibition and is best known for depictions of violent sex.
Flower photographs are another aspect of his work and are a reminder
of what lies hidden from view. Like fig leaves for absent genitalia,
they point to scandals elsewhere.
